I’m not entirely sure what I make of Lupin the Third in CGI, and I don’t know Cat’s Eye at all, but I’ll absolutely agree that these familiar characters look spot-on in the new format. It’s the gang!
The crossover is to celebrate Lupin III’s 50th anniversary and Cat’s Eye hitting 40. I don’t yet see the video on Amazon Prime, but they have the worldwide exclusive, and the premiere is in January.
Kobun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita, who worked together on Godzilla: Planet of the Monster, are working on the project at TMS Entertainment.

Lupin is the grandson of the infamous gentleman thief of the same name, always chased by dogged police and now with a crew of talented and quirky characters as allies.
Tsukasa Hojo’s Cat’s Eye manga follows three sisters who work in a cafe during the day and are legendary art thieves at night.
