Manga author and artist Fumita Yanagida’s Tomo-chan is a Girl is getting an anime. It’s the story of two friends growing up together and when one of them, the tomboy, wants to be more than just friends.
The action comedy anime will premiere on January 4th, and it’ll run on Crunchyroll.
The ending theme is called “yurukuru * love” and is sung by Rie Takahashi, Rina Hidaka, and Sally Amaki as their characters Tomo, Misuzu and Carol. The voice actor for Jun is Kaito Ishikawa who is Tenya Lida from My Hero Academia.
Seven Seas have the English language license for the manga and they describe the plot;
Boyish high school girl Tomo Aizawa finally manages to tell her childhood friend Jun that she’s got a crush on him. Unfortunately, her confession goes right over his head—he didn’t even realize she was a girl until middle school, and even now, Jun still thinks of her as a bro! How can Tomo-chan possibly convince him otherwise and win Jun’s heart?
