Onyx Path and Pugsteady’s Pugmire Core Rulebook is a mithral best seller, and it’s been out since 2017.
Today, Realms of Pugmire, a new edition of the tabletop RPG, has been announced.
Dogs have inherited the planet, constructing the kingdom of Pugmire millennia after the Age of Man has passed. These dogs have been elevated to use tools and language and strive to rediscover the Old Ones’ ruins. Some have learned to use humanity’s residual technology, but they believe it is magic bestowed upon them by their lost gods. Others want to build a perfect civilisation using a Code of Man constructed from ancient, fragmentary wisdom left behind by humans. The world is frightening and confusing, but good dogs never give up.
The new edition will have the following;
- Refined and clarified rules based on community feedback
- Updated and new tricks, spells, masterworks and enemies
- Radom and template character creation
- Friendship rules
- Tips on cats and rodent PCs
- Safety
Realms of Pugmire will have a Kickstarter with a delivery planned for 2025. If the crowdfunding campaign is successful, the final book will be a hardcover in a 8.5″ x 11″ size.
Creator Eddy Webb told the press;
It’s been well over five years since the first edition of Pugmire and closer to eight since I started working on it. I’ve learned so much about the world, and I’ve had so many ideas on how to tweak and adjust the game, so it seemed to be a good time to polish what’s there, expand on it based on what’s come after, and generally give the game a grander presentation.”
