What are the Nazgul?
The Nazgul, also known as Ringwraiths, are nine powerful and menacing creatures in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth. They serve as the emissaries of Sauron, the Dark Lord, and were originally nine men who were corrupted by Sauron’s Rings of Power and transformed into monstrous beings of darkness. They are usually cloaked in black and carry the powerful swords known as the Morgul-blades, which they use to search Middle-earth for the One Ring.
The Nazgûl’s swords
There are three different swords with this model. There’s the Nazgûl’s sword, Morgul-blade and Witch-king sword.
A Nazgûl’s sword is the weapon of choice for the Nazgûl, a group of nine powerful and dark servants of the Dark Lord Sauron in J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy world of Middle-earth. The swords of the Nazgûl are described as dark, sinister, and razor-sharp metal. They are said to have the power to wound even the most powerful and magical creatures. The swords are believed to be imbued with a powerful curse, said to cause fear and dread in those who behold it.
A Morgul-blade is an evil blade of ancient origin, believed to have been forged in the dark land of Mordor by the Nazgûl, the nine Ringwraiths of Sauron. The edges can inflict a wound that can never be healed, and the victim will eventually become a wraith under the control of Sauron. The blades are also highly resistant to standard weapons and can only be destroyed by fire, magical weapons, or powerful spells.
The Witch-king Sword is a legendary weapon from Middle-Earth and was wielded by the Witch-king of Angmar, the leader of the Nazgûl and Sauron’s most powerful servant. The sword was considered unbreakable and perhaps the most powerful weapon in Middle-Earth.
