Reddit’s Dungeons & Dragons community have been treated to a fantastic birthday photograph.
Shared by /u/Oneoutofnone, the picture shows wrapping covering a table and a young girl with a birthday tiara cradling a Starter Set.
The reactions to the 9-year-old’s birthday gift are up at nearly 22k votes and hundreds of comments. The top comment, with more than a thousand votes, notes;
That is the face of a fledgling murderhobo, no doubt about it.
Another cheekily says,
We caught her mid transformation into Xanathar himself.
The latest D&D Starter Set is relatively new, published only this October. Called Dragons of Stormwreck Isle, the box is designed to introduce people to the tabletop roleplaying game and has the essential rules and adventure. There are ready-made characters, dices and the game should last between 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on how it goes.
The box is recommended for ages 12 and up, but parents will have a better steer on what’s suitable reading for their kids. With quests and monsters, expect at least the threat of violence, though.
