Chamomile Has a Project has backed 89 Kickstarters and run 27. That’s an impressive record of producing 5e content under the governance of the OGL.
The latest project brings to life five 5e classes with grit in a campaign called 5e. Chamomile wisely quips, “Western 5e is a collection of 5 base classes from level 1-20, fully compatible with the fifth edition of the world’s most litigious roleplaying game…” on the project page.
There’s more than just classes. Western 5e has rules and tips on pointcrawls and weapons like shotguns and revolvers.
Classes include the Bandit, the Law, Frontierfolk, Preacher or the Doctor. The download has NPCs, too, so you’ve samples of each class.
Chamomile notes;
And because of its 5e compatibility, all of the classes and other tricks found in this book can be used both on their own as a straight western game or in combination with other 5e material to create a weird west game of ghostly sheriffs and demonic cattle rustlers.
You can back the game, get one class and full credit for just $1.
At $5, backers get all five Western classes.
A physical edition of the book is available, and backers who pledge $12 in support will qualify for that.
Higher tiers exist; $50 to get a low-level bandit in the book as a low-level bandit, $100 to be a mid-level bandit and $250 to be a high-level villain.
There are stretch goals, including a Blades in the Dark-inspired gang management system at $9K.
The estimated delivery is soon, just March 2023.
