After the first Farming Life in Another World, I admitted I couldn’t tell if it was a harem anime or a farming one.
The former is more likely, right? However, an anime that tries to tap into a Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing vibe isn’t impossible.
There’s a second trailer, and I’m still not sure. It’s not dropping the farming, but with the bathtub scene, there are now dragons and angels.
The IMDB synopsis is no good, saying only;
Reborn in another world, a young man chooses to live a quiet life as a farmer.
Our hero might have decided to have a quiet life, but does he get it?
The series is based on the story by Kinosuke Naito and Yasuyuki Tsurugi, that’s published in English by One Peace Books, and can be bought on Amazon. OPB’s synopsis says;
After Hiraku dies of a serious illness, God brings him back to life, gives his health and youth back, and sends him to a fantasy world of his choice. In order to enjoy his second shot, God bestows upon him the almighty farming tool! Watch as Hiraku digs, chops, and ploughs in another world in this laidback farming fantasy!
That pushes us back into the Stardew Valley side of the debate.
However, HIDIVE has the series and started streaming it this week, so if you’ve an account, you can find out and tell us! How do they describe the anime?
When a godlike figure gives Hiraku a chance to live again, he wishes to be healthy, to live peacefully, to speak the local language, and to spend his days on an idyllic farm.
