The first My Home Hero trailer was creepy, and the latest goes even further. It’s spooky.
Two million copies of this seinen have been sold, so perhaps creepy is cool.
The anime adapts Naoki Yamakawa and Masashi Asaki manga, which runs in the Young Magazine and has been going since 2017. We’re in the final arc, though.
My Home Hero is the story of Tetsuo, a regular salaryman who discovers that his daughter has been physically assaulted by her lover. Tetsuo ends up exacting revenge on said boyfriend, which puts him in conflict with a crime gang.
Junichi Suwabe (Grimmjow in Bleach) plays Tetsuo Tosu, a 47-year-old toy maker, with Chihiro Shirata as Reika Tosu, Tetsuo’s only daughter and a first-year college student.
The anime is due out in April.
