Courtney Campbell is the creator of Quantum Ogre and has successfully funded a new RPG called Sinless. There are two weeks left on the clock.
The game is intended to be played by four to six players in a session lasting about four to six hours. The project is live on Kickstarter.
The Sinless are cyber Ronin, Deckers, Riggers and even Mages who take on corporation bosses and their machines. The war is fought with data theft and direct attacks.
Players pick heritage, magical aptitude, attributes, skills, resources and cyber and bio-enhancements.
Sinless has mutants, known Blighted, who have become horrors with tusks and horns, but also those mutants known as the Green with antlers or fae-looks.
The game is set in 2090 in a bleak but not hopeless near future. In the setting, 1 billion Zuzu (a crypto-currency) is the cost of financial freedom, and Sinless is an exploration of what people might do to reach that goal.
Players can focus on a specific tradition of magical focus, or choose to commune and develop relationships with spirits, or internalize the power for incredible bodily and martial powers. Or they can choose to do all three. Magic has unique styles and effects depending on the tradition. Magic advancement, rituals, summoning, binding, and invoking spirits are all part of the core rules.
There are both an Open License and SRD in the works.
Backers at $1 will get temporary access to Sinless’ text. Those at $10 will get a PDF copy complete with the Kickstarter exclusives.
At $40, a print copy is added to the loot pile, with worldwide shipping on offer. Or you can contribute $47, and the creative team gets more money.
In the second top tier, $50, the CEO adds stretch goals, and $57 makes that more socially responsible.
Courtney Campbell estimates a September delivery for most of these tiers.
