I’m sure many of us have had an idea; what if we had a functioning smartphone after having travelled back to a historical or fantasy world?
The name says it all, “In Another World With My Smartphone” is an isekai in which that happens. Crunchyroll streamed the first season but is yet to confirm the second. In Japan, In Another World With My Smartphone 2 hits the small screen in April.
Crunchyroll describes the series;
After dying as a result of God’s mistake, the main character finds himself in a parallel world, where he begins his second life. His only possessions are the body that God gave back to him and a smartphone that works even in this new world. As he meets all kinds of new people and forges new friendships, he ends up learning the secret to this world. He inherits the legacy of an ancient civilization and works together with the kings of some very laid-back countries on his carefree travels through this new world.
The anime is based on the 2013 light novel by Patora Fuyuhara, and there was a manga in 2016 with Yen Press picking up the English language rights for that.
Sometimes it’s the trailer for the second season that lures me into a show. I’m not sure here. What do we get to find out about the show? Running? Tech?
The promo poster for the series gives us a clue, though, and it’s a harem-shaped male-fantasy vibe.
