Inspired by Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series and Hannah Capin’s I Am Margaret Moore, Edaureen Muhamad Nor’s Camp Elementa is an RPG for one to six players, and it is GM-agnostic.
In the game, the characters are teens off to summer camp to learn to control their elemental powers. It’s an indie project, a Zine Quest entry and a Kickstarter “Project We Love”, which you can see more of from the pitch page.
The RPG uses the Six Elements system used in Nor’s previous games, Equinox and Honey Hex. Six Elements is light on rules to be heavy on storytelling, using a standard deck of cards for randomisation.
Solving the “where does the first campaign come from?” problem, Camp Elementa has a guided story to take players through the game world and system.
Will you play a Fire half-Elemental who’s quick to anger or an Air half-Elemental who flies away at the first sign of conflict? Will you play an athletic Water half-Elemental who loves all sports or an Earth half-Elemental who’d rather commune with nature? Will you play a charmingly musical Metal half-Elemental or an aloof Void half-Elemental who can see beyond the veil? These are only some of the endless possibilities!
You can support the indie project by sharing it around, offering financial support in pledges, and those who find $10 to commit will be thanked with a PDF and a text copy of the game. A community copy of the game is also made available at Itch each time that happens.
Worldwide shipping is on offer, sans logistic costs, for a softback, text and PDF bundle at $15. Upgrading to $18 will get the softback signed.
The hardcover is for backers at $21 and signed at $24.
However, the top tier is $75 (about £63), which gets your name in the credits as well and three copies added to the community collection.
Edaureen estimates a June delivery for the digital copies and August for the physical.
