In the run-up to the next attempt to bring D&D to the big screen, Hasbro’s and eOne’s Honor Among Thieves, the corporate has lined up another arm of its empire with NERF.
NERF, the blaster brand, has three Forgotten Realms weapons on the way. The initial announcement seemed to put Target in the limelight, which seems appropriate.
Now, with some selling out, the dragon-themed weapons have crossed the pond.
There’s a NERF MicroShot Palarandusk. That’s the gold dragon who protects Neverwinter.
The gun-Palarandusk uses two NERF elite 2.0 darks and is sized for inside play. It’s not a weapon that needs much room.
A larger weapon is the NERF Rakor blaster. Rakor is a black dragon from the Savage Frontier but was first named thanks to the D&D movie.
Lastly, at least for now, there’s Themberchaud.
This crossbow is based on the red dragon from the Underdark. Themberchaud has names such as Father of the Flame, the Everburning and the Foundry’s Heart.
None of the blasters is terribly expensive and is, therefore, perfect for young and careless play, mass market builds rather than collectables, but I imagine they kitbash into something impressive.
