Many Detective Conan movie titles are in the IMDB, but I can’t yet find Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine. Nevertheless, the movie is coming, the 26th in the series, and there’s a trailer, rock band SPITZ doing the theme song and a release date of April 14.
The movie was featured at the end of Detective Conan’s Jet Black Mystery Train compilation film, which aired in January. That one ended with some footage which connects the events in that four-episode mashup to the Iron Submarine.
Mob Psycho 100 director Yuzuru Tachikawa is in the director’s chair for this. There’s a translation on Anime News Network of the official Japanese Detective Conan site for what goes on in the adventure. ANN say;
Many engineers from around the world gather to witness the launch of a new system that connects all law enforcement camera systems around the world and enables facial recognition worldwide. Conan also heads there with an invitation from Sonoko. He receives a message from Subaru Okiya, who says that a Europol agent has been murdered in Germany by the Black Organization’s Gin. Perturbed, Conan tours the new facility, just in time for the Black Organization to kidnap a female engineer, seeking a piece of important data in her USB drive.
Six-time Detective Conan veteran Takeharu Sakurai is penning the scripts.
