Oh, anime, we’ve had people born again as spiders and slime so is a hero or wannabe hero as a vending machine is, well, it’s happening!
Based on Hirukuma’s light novels, Slowcurve Co, Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ pulling the anime together, and Crunchyroll will stream it.
There have been three volumes of the book, and Yen Press picked them up for English-speaking markets. Yen describes the drama;
A middle-aged man with only one passion in his life meets a fitting end in a traffic accident. That’s where most stories would end, but instead, this is when his story begins when he’s reborn as what he admired the most in life–a vending machine! But his new lease on life(?) happens in the worst place possible–what can a vending machine do in a monster-infested dungeon when he can’t speak or even move on his own?
The anime is due out in July with Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman) as the director, Jun Fukuyama as Hakkon and Kaede Hondo as Lammis.
