There’s a new roleplaying games marketplace called RPG ARC.
RPG ARC launched with little fanfare on Reddit, but Geek Native noticed and took a look and what caught this blogger’s attention was that you can give your stuff away for free if you want. Or, if you want to charge, then there’s a typical marketplace commission to pay.
What’s the point of that?
As one Reddit announcement read;
As a player and as a GM, I love the idea of sharing some of the things I have made over the years, so that they can find a second life in someone else’s campaign.
Personally, I make weird monsters out of clay and get a lot of joy in using them to beat up my players. BUT I’m no good at coming up with terrain or items for example, and I would love a place to browse all the weird and wonderful things YOU have come up with over the years. That way, other players could use some of your wondrous ideas in their campaign without having to learn calligraphy or graphic design or whatever it is that makes your stuff look so amazing.
I was kind of surprised that I couldn’t find a place like that online, ‘What a magical place that would be!’ I thought. So, I decided to make one.
So, if your motivation is about passing your creation on then, RPG ARC is there for you.
Additionally, RPG ARC allows sales of pretty much anything with the intent of allowing geeky clothing, minis, dice trays, art, and books. I assume this is all within reason and hope that anti-piracy steps are taken swiftly when, sadly, they become necessary. Users are bound by law and a T&C.
It’s a functional site, but still, a works in progress.
