Highspeed Étoile is an anime about an injured ballet dancer who becomes a race car driver, but not before becoming an elite NEET gamer on the way.
Sounds cool.
Set in the near future with a technology that enables 310 mph races, Étoile is all about a next-generation contest called the NEX Race.
Our hero is Rin Rindoh, who, with the support of AI support and the Revolburst tech, is out to leave her mark on the extreme motorcar sport.
The anime is due out this year. The trailer is from King Amusement’s YouTube channel, with logos belonging to the likes of Yotar, Good Smile Company and the former racing series Super Formula on the associated website.
Takuya Fujima (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid manga artist; character designer for Warlords of Sigrdrifa) is the character designer for the series. There’s no previous manga or light novel, and the show is an original project.
