Gun Blazing is a crowdfunding and nearly funded RPG from the respected Basheer Ghouse. It’s a roaring 20s game, yet monsters and the horrors of politics exist. The game is nearly hit it’s Kickstarter mark.
Gun Blazing uses its own RPG engine, one that’s been built specifically for the game to blend pulp fiction with the frenzy of first-person shooters.
Characters in the game are mercenaries, commandos or even volunteers fighting monsters or corrupt systems.
The narrative portion of the game uses clocks, and combat is the resource management of Stamina.
Hit Point Press is hosting a free Guns Blazing download.
The iron grip of Europe has begun to falter, its leaders making desperate, brutal plays to extend their power. Rising nations, independence movements, and ideologies carve their way onto the world stage. And all the while, monsters new and old emerge from the shadows and prey upon the vulnerable.
This is a world on the cusp of change. The old system, tyrannical and ruinous, cannot hold. The new is unknown, to be defined in the decades to come, in the wreckage of the old.
There is only the now: Uncertain, violent, but full of possibility. Capable of ushering in a brighter tomorrow, or horrors your ancestors could scarcely even imagine.
You can back the game by pledging cash or help promote it by sharing it on social media. If you’re strapped for cash, a limited number of $10 PDFs are also available.
The Core PDF, otherwise, is a reward for $25-tier backers.
A hardback version of the book is also available, it comes with a choice of Starter Scenario and the complete PDF edition, and that’s a $50 tier.
At $65, all three Starter Scenarios are added; Hyderbad, Aceh and Incident Elif.
Basheer Ghouse estimates the book is due out in April next year.
