In July, except in China, Disney+ will be able to stream Synduality: Noir worldwide.
Maybe I’ve not looked hard enough, but I’ve not seen any anime on Disney+ in my scrolling, but forgive me; I’m still catching up with Mandalorian.
I do wonder whether Disney+ is making the most of these infestments. Synduality: Noir looks good!
There are other Synduliaty projects, and they are related. Synduality: Echo of Ada is coming to the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and the PC through Steam. Echo of Ada is set in 2222 and the anime 2242.
There’s also Syndualit: Elite, a manga about the main character, which will have a novelisation too.
It’s a Bandai Namco Entertainment project but I’m seeing the names Bandai Namco Filmworks and Bandai Spirits involved too and perhaps that’s all the different transmedia touch points.
However, it’s Sony that gives me this (translation a bit rough) synopsis;
The year is 2222. It has been years since Tears of the New Moon, a mysterious rain, poured and wiped out almost the entire human race. The poisonous rain gave birth to deformed creatures devouring for humans, and humanity fled from the danger. As means for survival, the humans then build an underground haven; Amasia. In this new built dystopian city, on a pursuit of maintaining their existence, they run into an Artificial Intelligence named Magus. Not knowing how things will work between them, the story of how Humans and AI coinciding and trying to find their truths begin.
Crunchyroll’s news coverage goes with;
The “Tears of the New Moon” was a great disaster that brought down a poisonous rain “Blueshist” that could kill people if exposed to it. More than 100 years have passed since then, and mankind has finally begun to overcome the disaster. In the “Nest” settlements scattered throughout the devastated world, beside those who are living strongly, there are humanoid “Megas” equipped with a dual-thinking AI. The year is 2242 A.D. Megas, who had fallen asleep with no memory of their past, finally awoke–.
