I doubt it’s the branding they want, but mention Sons of the Singularity to me, and I think of the Call of Cthulhu partner with the RPG that China burned.
Why? There definitely are no cosmic horrors in China, but now with The Blessed and the Blasphemous campaign, we suspect there might be in Morocco at the start of World War II. Hundreds of Kickstarter backers agree, and you can see the latest tally at the pitch page.
The Blessed and the Blasphemous is a Call of Cthulhu campaign with six scenarios in Morocco just before the start of World War II. The campaign spans 1938–1941 and occurs in various Moroccan cities, drawing inspiration from the country’s storied past.
Keepers have the option to run the entire campaign or any individual scenario. At the conclusion of a campaign, the various scenarios will have played out their respective climaxes and culminations.
The book will be about 325 pages, packed with historically interesting facts and deal with Morocco and Algeria, including Casablanca, Fes, Rabat, Mers el Kebir, and Illizi.
Sons of the Singularity provide Keeper’s Aids such as maps and art, some of which you can see below, and 24 pre-genend characters.
Thousands of years ago, ancient cosmic entities, Nug and Yeb, influenced the minds and bodies of two human twins. One of those twins began work to bring Nug and Yeb to Earth. Investigators will collect clues, discover hidden truths, and race against time to prevent the summoning of these incomprehensible deities.
Backers get their name in the acknowledgements for just $1, and people can support the indie studio by sharing the campaign for free.
Those supporters with $24 (about £20) for the project will be thanked with a PDF of the B&B download.
The printed version, without shipping costs, unlocks at $59. At this tier the add-ons open up as well.
It’s $109 to get the Campaign Dossier Set and then $200 to also get the SoS team working with you on a custom pre-genned character, with a portrait and whom will end up in the campaign. However, be quick, as this tier is limited and nearly sold out.
There’s a retailer bundle too.
The PDF of B&B is estimated for September, and the print books are in November.
