Under-monetised brand, Dungeons & Dragons has launched their official rubber duck range with Tubbz. Tubbz makes all sorts of pop cultured theme ducks.
Some parts of the press are speculating on what Hasbro can do to make D&D a billion-dollar brand, and some gamers are still smarting at the suggestion from Hasbro boss Chris Cocks that there’s more money to be wrung from the brand, but I’m here geeking at bath toys.
The D&D duck heroes we needed
Needed or wanted?
I noticed Tubbz-ally Just Geek is open for pre-orders on the first two D&D ducks; Hank the Ranger and Diana the Acrobat.
These are two characters from the classic 80s D&D toon in which a group of kids find themselves whisked from a fairground ride to a world filled with dragons, monsters, adventures and the occasional dungeon.
The D&D ducks are designed by Numskulls, official merch and these ‘first edition’ Tubbs ducks come with a collector’s bathtub with the D&D logo and a first edition stamp and sticker.
Each duck is about 9cm tall and made from high-end PVC.
The ducks are expected to take flight in June 2023 and start to ship then, and there’s likely the rest of the party to come. Will we see a Venger duck?
