As Pagan began publishing full-length CoC supplements such as Coming Full Circle (1995), The Golden Dawn, and the critically acclaimed original version of Delta Green (1997), The Unspeakable Oath issues became less common. Initially published quarterly, it became more or less annual (1994-97). Pagan returned after a four-year hiatus with a final double issue (#16/17) in 2001 and has since been chiefly dormant, sleeping like Cthulhu in R’lyeh.
Arc Dream acquired the publishing rights to The Unspeakable Oath in 2010 and published eight more issues through 2018. Initially only supporting Call of Cthulhu, the Oath has since expanded to include other Mythos RPGs such as Trail, Dark, Delta Green, and even Fiasco (the playset Unaussprechlichen Klutzen). Some of the best and most knowledgeable Lovecraftian gaming writers outside of Chaosium contributed, including Greg Stolze, Adam Scott Glancy, Adam Gauntlett, and many more.
