The Tomb of the Dundel Chief is an adventure for Castles & Crusades because, despite being married to Heidi Gygax, Erik Garland is a CoC fan and is sticking to his guns!
The adventure is also 5e and 1e, as it is offered in various systems and as the daughter of Gary Gygax, Heidi could hardly ignore D&D either. The campaign has funded, and has over two weeks left on the Kickstarter clock.
Heidi and Erik have experience with Kickstarter and a 100% (of 1) success with Till Death Do Us Part, which was a wedding gift of a D&D adventure. As a result, I see Tomb of the Dundel Chief as a post-wedding Kickstarter.
Also, to call out a good thing here, while Tomb of the Dundel Chief is the couple’s second Kickstarter campaign, they’ve backed 100. Here’s a family that’s putting money and energy into the hobby.
Our second project, GG2 Tomb of The Dundel Chief, is a much longer adventure, including a much larger dungeon, more monsters & peril, more traps & puzzles, more magic & treasure, and even more beautiful artwork. Artists James V. West and Mike Wilson are joining us again, and new to the party is Chet Minton doing our cover art. We are very excited to bring this to your gaming tables!
You can support the project by sharing it on social media or offering money. Backes who provide at least $15 will get a thank you for the adventure in PDF, digital stretch goals and a fillable character sheet.
At $39, there’s a physical copy and worldwide shipping, with US locals getting the P&P included and the rest of us waiting to fulfilment to find out what those charges will be.
There’s a limited number of signed copies at $54 and some more at $59, with that latter tier also offering the 6″ tall Adventurers Notebook.
There are higher tiers that offer multiple copies of the book, and then at $200, backers get to work on a monster for the book, which means you get to publish a D&D adventure with a Gygax. At $250, you get to play with a Gygax at Gary Con, and both of those elite tiers are limited in number.
