Sweden’s Yubi’s Adventures are on Kickstarter with a rules-light and classless RPG with a novel approach.
The creatures and PCs of the Sundered Wilds are insectoids; the world setting is floating islands in skies filled with behemoths. The campaign has a month to hit the target of €5,000, and you can track progress on the pitch page.
There’s a free adventure to introduce you to the world of Sentima, which has all the rules you need to sample the game, and 6 pre-generated characters, including spiders, ants and the setting’s Rooted in Turmoil at Acron Outpost.
The core rules, if funded, will come up to 150 pages and contain lore on the energy and islands of the setting, helping with travel of the insect tribes and other creatures.
Sentima will be full-colour art, with pets, companions, and even body and ship parts!
There are also paperback zines coming for the setting; Escaping the End, The Twilight Vale and Lychradis.
The game offers 12 playable tribes, airships, and the behemoths promised.
If all this sounds cool but not for you as you’re wedded to 5e, then there’s good news, as there are also 5e conversions.
At €10, about £9, the first reward tier offers one of those 5e options. That’s a PDF of the Sentima Monster Manual.
Then, at €15, the physical copy is added, which comes with a digital.
There are some early bird tiers, but if you miss those, then the Sentima: Sundered Wilds, maps and character sheets are offered as digital rewards at €25.
The first of the PDF zines, Escaping the End, is added at €35.
€45 is the tier which is the first physical copy of Sentima: Sundered Wilds rules, with digital copy and sheets, is the reward.
The Kickstarter offers a gradient of higher tiers, layering in the rewards, then at €80 when physical copies of all the zines, a stack of character sheets, maps and the core rules become available.
A €100 tier offers a bit more, and a €300 merchant pack is available for shops.
Yubi’s Adventures estimates a December delivery for the PDFs and core physical products. Then, in July, for some of the more exclusive products.
