Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is an adaptation of a manga about an immortal elf and her companions.
The original was written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. Madhouse has picked up the project, which has a 2023 slot on Nippon TV and is being directed by Keiichiro Saito.
There’s an English version of the manga from Viz Media who say;
Elf mage Frieren and her courageous fellow adventurers have defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. But Frieren will long outlive the rest of her former party. How will she come to understand what life means to the people around her?
I may have grimdarked the intro, as this trailer all seems very wholesome…
