If you head down to the LEGO store today, you’re sure of a big surprise… or five, to be exact, if you manage to pick up all the LEGO Jurassic Park 30th anniversary sets!
For why? For Easter eggs of the frog variety are hiding in plain sight!
That’s right; the LEGO Group has finally made good on all of those requests from Jurassic Park and dino fans alike, with this entire range of sets dedicated to the original movie now available from this month (released June 1).
What makes these sets so special? Well, between them, they cover almost every major scene from the 1993 movie, as well as all your favourite characters and dinosaurs – but each one also contains these very special frog Easter eggs!
Why frogs? Well, frog DNA was originally used to help fill in the blanks when recreating dinosaurs and bringing the park to life in the movie – and now they’re also being used as ‘building blocks’ in this set 30 years on!
It’s kind of come full circle, and it’s a very beautiful thing.
