Foam Brain Games have a Kickstarter for RPG-inspired trinkets, and the retailer tiers are busier than the individual ones in the successful campaign.
It’s the 24th time Andrew Zorowitz and Foam Brain Games have been on Kickstarter, and this trip brings charms, baubles and other sundries with RPGs in mind.
There are earrings, charm bracelets and goodies like that on offer, and while you can attach those to laces, or smartphone cases, Andrew’s pitch video begins by using them as combat trackers. Gamers are the target market, and the Kickstarter has hit its goals.
There are over 80 designs in the campaign, and we’re told they’ve all been 3d sculpted and then flattened somewhat, hopefully not a contraction. Why? The charms are designed to be comfortable to wear, which means being able to fit against the wrist.
The charms feel solid, but I imagine they’re not too heavy, although they do jingle. If so, perhaps they’re suitable for initiative tracking but less so for sneak roles.
There’s shipping, even to the UK, and stretch goals unlocking.
Our Trinkets are useful for a wide variety of purposes such as bracelets, necklaces, shoelace charms, earrings and more. In this campaign we’re offering 2 kinds of attachments – bracelet and earring hooks, but these charms work with virtually any findings you can think of.
Our earring hooks are made out of sterling silver. Our bracelets are a nickel plated base metal.
It’s only a pledge of $8 for backers to unlock the charm as a thank-you. That’ll go anywhere in the world too.
However, if you need a bracelet, as I would, to attach the charm too, then a backing of $14 is the one to aim for.
Earrings hooks are added, and with a second matching charm at $20, if you want to go from zero to impressive charm, you can get six of the little sculptures and a bracelet as a reward at $48.
The higher tiers are for retailers, and this is a quirky Kickstarter in that the retailer options are more popular than the individual ones. At least, that’s the case now.
