An unofficial D&D supplement by the Owl Preservation Society’s Peter Leet and Dave Aspall entitled The Cavy allows you to create your very own D&D guinea pig character.
Unofficial supplements are of course nothing new, with some allowing you to play as other animals (like cats and dogs), but this is the first time we’ve seen it happen with guinea pig characters… and, we’ve got to admit, these Cavy are pretty damn cute.
So, what can you expect when playing as a Cavy?
Well, your character will be so adorable it’ll give others disadvantage on Wisdom (Insight) checks, along with having the ability to save allies with Vexing Wheek. You’ll also get bonuses to Wisdom (Perception) checks within 30 feet of you – and more!
You’ll also get the opportunity to discover monsters, items, and other cool stuff. Here’s the official description:
Cavies are small humanoid rodents; they tend to walk on their hind legs but are actually quadrupeds. Their ears are soft and folded over to protect the delicate tissue inside. Their eyes protrude slightly with colours ranging from dark brown to burnt umber, and on rare occasion, bright pink.
The Cavy is available to buy from Dungeon Masters Guild and you can literally pay any price you feel is fair – although the RRP is $1.99. Enjoy!
