Mega Man (or Rockman in Japan) debuted in 1987 and is usually a blue robot fighting evil. In the original, Dr Wily betrays Dr Light, programming their robots to conquer the world so a remaining loyal robot, Rock, volunteers to become Mega Man and fight back.
You’ll likely know the character when you see them, and this fan art by Rainey Laymont does a good job of just that. This is the classic Mega Man in an encounter with a character called Zero from the X series.
Look at those boots! Those giant blue feet are popular for cosplayers and the retail opportunity Fun.com have gone for.
Now, two adult sizes of cosy blue feet are on pre-order and exclusive to the geeky retailer.
The statement piece slippers aren’t the only Mega Man merch Fun.com has in their catalogue.
Right now, the Capcom Mega Man socks are on sale, and I like the length on them, but I’ve mixed thoughts on anyone climbing up my legs!
There are also these Mega Man high top sneakers, which seem to have been added about the same time as the slippers. I don’t think I could wear slippers to a comic con or gaming convention, but I’d wear those trainers.
The slippers should ship first, though. Fun.com estimates an in-stock of late June for the cosy boots and July for the sneakers.
