The latest red-band trailer from Sony Pictures is none other than upcoming Marvel movie Kraven The Hunter, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson – and it’s gory as all hell.
This movie has certainly piqued the curiosity of fans over the past few months, and now we get to see what’s coming our way later this year.
It looks pretty freakin’ gnarly if you asked me.
Rated R, Kraven The Hunter is full of blood, untethered violence and gore, described as “the visceral story about how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be.”
Apparently, the story is set “before his notorious vendetta with Spider-Man” – which leaves us wondering, will there be a face-off with Spider-Man at some point in this movie, or later down the line?
Warning: Talking of Spider-Man, there are spooders (not spoilers) in the video below!
So, what’s the story of Kraven the Hunter? Well, we know it’s focused on Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff who just happens to be on a mission to prove himself as the greatest hunter the world has ever known.
I mean… if you watch the trailer, I think he’s got it in the bag, bruh. BRUH.
Taylor-Johnson says the film is “a Marvel movie grounded heavily in the real world. We know he is a fierce hunter, a highly trained killer. F**k yeah, it will be rated R!”
The movie is directed by J.C. Chandor, and it’s based on a script by writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man).
The cast is also made up of Ariana DeBose (Calypso), Russell Crowe (Nikolai Kravinoff), Fred Hechinger (Chameleon), Alessandro Nivola (an unknown villain), Levi Miller, and Catch-22 star Christopher Abbott, who plays The Foreigner.
Kraven the Hunter is out in cinemas on October 6th. How’d you like them apples?
