Virtual tours allowing Star Trek fans to get closer than ever before to being on set of their favourite shows have been released as part of a whole plethora of insights into the making of Picard season 3.
And we’ve got to say, they’re exceptionally cool.
Taken using Matterport technology (commonly used to give tours around houses for sale) by Picard art director Liz Kloczkowski, you can now take a whirl around the sets of the SS Eleos XII (AKA Crusher’s ship from season 3), Captain Riker’s Titan-A (and now refitted Enterprise-G) and the Shrike.
There’s also a faithful recreation of the Enterprise-D’s bridge – just look at all that beige! So much beige.

Of course, the Titan gets most of the attention, as you can take a tour of basically all the sets that were made for the ship, including the medical bay, crew quarters, and transporter rooms.

Lookit that interior! You can even zoom right in and read some of the screens, if you’re nosey like I am (I got nothing out of it. It was a huge waste of time).
Want to check out the transporter room? Here it is, go wild:
The interesting thing about the transporter room is that you can go out the door and take a wee jolly around some of the corridors – and look who I found. That’s right, it’s a dude in a hat!
Do I win something? See if you can also find dude in the hat.
As I mentioned above (way above), there’s also the Eleos, which is looking particularly cool – and cosy! Lots of shiny things to look at, and especially that table, but also comfy-looking sofas.

Finally, if you’re looking for something that’s more of an evil beehive vibe, you can take a lookit around the Shrike – which I swear was the name of a villain in The Animals of Farthing Wood. Do do do-doooo, do-do-do-dooooo, do-do-do do-do-do-do-do do DO dooooo!

Well, that was a fun distraction for a few minutes.
Still, the detailed newness of these ships is not going to prove to me that Picard isn’t still in the Nexus and has been this whole time – I’m holding strong to that theory.
