Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation will hit cinemas screens in Japan on the 25th and then air on TV on July 2nd. Crunchyroll had the first season and will air the second as well.
The first season synopsis is as follows, deadly truck and all!
Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!
As the second season trailer shows, our young Rudeus seems to be rather more confident in this world than the last. Perhaps.
Seven Seas has the English license for the books and say this of the second season;
Two years have passed since Rudeus bitterly parted ways with Eris, the girl he loves. Now he wanders the north as an adventurer for hire, searching for any sign of his mother, Zenith. He finally gets the clue he’s been looking for from a friend of his old magic tutor, along with an unexpected invitation: a chance to attend the famous Ranoa University of Magic.
There’s a new director for season two as Studio Bind makes some changes, as Hiroki Hirano, the assistant director, steps up to replace Manabu Okamoto. On the script, Toshiya Ono, who worked on The Promised Neverland also replaces Okamoto, and the show has a new character designer with Sanae Shimada but Masakazu Miyake remains as art director.
