We built this story on CRUNCHYROLL… well, Crunchyroll‘s latest industry panel announcements from Anime Expo 2023, that is.
A lot was announced, including the new never-before-seen trailer for anime Solo Leveling (which got its own story)… and everything you’re about to see below.
There’s a lot to get through, so we’re going to summarise each of these announcements the best we can.
World premiere of a new trailer for A Returner’s Magic Should be Special
Making its debut during the panel was the world premiere of the latest trailer to drop for A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special – due to launch in October 2023.
You can watch that below:
New preview for My Hero Academia
We also got to see a new preview that was shared for the My Hero Academia collaboration between TOHO animation, Crunchyroll, the National Basketball Association (NBA), NBALAB, and HYPERFLY – in the form of streetwear!
If you’re lucky enough to attend the NBA Con in Las Vegas from the 7th – 9th July, you’ll be able to pick up some exclusive items from the collaboration there – with the rest launching this autumn.
New trailer for Metallic Rouge
This one was previewed at the BONES panel, apparently! Metallic Rouge‘s premise, on the surface at least, is a bit similar to Ghost in the Shell – but with more cyber-suit battles that enhance the main character’s abilities.
Check it out below:
New trailer for KamiErabi GOD.app
This is another BONES ‘un, which starts off telling you all the things the story IS NOT. Which is a good strategy, because it keeps you hanging around to find out what the hell it IS actually about.
Okay, I’ll give you the one-liner I’ve seen it described as: “a sci-fi fantasy death game in which high schoolers compete to become a god.”
Certainly seems like quite a bold and interesting anime. I may give it a watch!
Full catalogue from Sony Music now available
Earlier this week, Crunchyroll also announced their full catalogue from Sony Music is now available! What does that mean? It means you can now check out 100 full-length concerts and thousands of music videos from artists including LiSA, YOASOBI, Hikaru Utada, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, Hiroyuki Sawano, KANA-BOON – and more!
That’s pretty damn cool, Crunchyroll. Thanks.
New acquisitions announced
Crunchyroll also announced they were acquiring several new anime titles, including:
- The Apothecary Diaries (Coming soon, 2023)
- The Faraway Paladin: The Lord of Rust Mountain (October 2023)
- GOBLIN SLAYER Season 2 (Coming soon, 2023)
