A new one-shot for Call of Cthulhu called Signal to Noise – a 1980 Analog Horror Scenario has been published through’s Chaosium community content program and is now available to buy on DriveThruRPG.
Signal to Noise – A 1980s Analog Horror Scenario came from the mind of author Colin Richards, and will send your investigators through some bizarre broadcasts on local television as they try to get to the heart of what’s really going on.
The really interesting thing is that the game comes complete with YouTube links as part of the clues, so your players can watch the videos as you go along.
The quiet town of Summit Heights, Pennsylvania, experiences a series of bizarre broadcast intrusions on local station WSHP-TV Channel 17. Between the strange and haunting nature of these pirate broadcasts and a recent string of disappearances, the town is on a knife’s edge. Station manager Larry Rosenbaum has assembled a team of investigators to hunt down these signal intrusions and put a stop to them, but what they find may be stranger and more terrifying than anyone could have imagined!
This is definitely on my list of things I want to play, and apparently a good shout if you’re into creepypastas and general horror – as well as Call of Cthulhu, obviously.
You can get your copy of Signal to Noise – a 1980 Analog Horror Scenario via DriveThruRPG.
