Sci Fi Weekender returns in March 2024 for an anniversary show. The Great Yarmouth weekend-long convention isn’t a Comic Con (joking that they don’t want people queuing for the whole event) and calls itself a weekend (except it starts on Thursday).
This year the British steampunk “Chap Hop” singer Professor Elemental filmed the video for Nerds Gone Wild there.
Chap Hop is a parody of British class, not of ethnicity, and the Prof, aka Paul Alborough, is a frequent expo or convention attendee with regular songs about us.
There are even several Professor Elemental tabletop games, including Cheapass Games’ Pairs and a roleplaying game from Escapades.
