Coming soon to a Paramount+ near you, it’s the ninth episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds‘ special musical-themed episode! That’s right, there will be singing in the corridors as the show goes full musical.
I personally love when shows do this.
The official trailer was shared at Comic-Con (because of course it was) and now it’s live for everyone to see! I’m quite excited for this, not gonna lie.
As a one-off musical episode, it’ll feature 10 original songs, with the addition of a Subspace Rhapsody version of the main title, with music and lyrics by Kay Hanley and Tom Polce. How rad is that?!
Here’s the official blurb for season two:
The crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, under the command of Captain Christopher Pike, confronts increasingly dangerous stakes, explores uncharted territories and encounters new life and civilizations. The crew will also embark on personal journeys that will continue to test their resolve and redefine their destinies. Facing friends and enemies both new and familiar, their adventures will unfold in surprising ways never seen before on any Star Trek series.

Doesn’t it look hella fun?!
However, I’ll tell you what I’m even more excited for; the Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks special crossover episode, which will be dropping TODAY starting at 7pm ET/4 pm PT on Paramount+. (That’s in a couple of hours here in the UK, folks)
Also, this is the third Star Trek trailer published from other sources that I’ve been unable to watch now (alongside the Lower Decks trailer and Discovery 10-minute preview). I suspect something weird and GDPR-related may be happening, and I ain’t happy! Luckily I was able to find this ‘un elsewhere.
