In this ultraviolent RPG, you are a vampire commando dropped into Nazi-infested Paris, and you are to cut through the Reich’s army and slay Hilter.
Eat the Reich is designed by Grant Howitt of Spire, Heart and Honey Heist and illustrated by Will Kirby, a talent with Critical Role, Image, Dark Horse and Boom credits. The Kickstarter is already a murderous success; there’s still time to join in.
Eat the Reich doesn’t follow a campaign and adventure model; it tells one story. Rowan, Rook and Decard state that it tells it brilliantly.
The game, which will be a 72-page rulebook, is described as a cross between Wolfenstein and Danger 5. The Havoc Engine, a d6 system, encourages creative violence while enemy reinforcement rules keep the vampires alert and in danger.
There are pre-genned characters, but they can level up, and this version of Paris has fantasy maps.
EAT THE REICH is a tabletop roleplaying game in which you, a vampire commando, are coffin-dropped into occupied Paris and must cut a bloody swathe through nazi forces en route to your ultimate goal: drinking all of Adolf Hitler’s blood.
Backers who support the project with £25 or more get a physical copy of Eat the Reich, which comes with a PDF copy and Alchemy VTT access.
Those gamers who can find £50 for the crowdfunder will also get an embroidered cloth path, pin-up style postcards, spare character sheets and a dossier to hold all those bits and bobs.
The Box challenge coin, all the unlocked stretch goals and a customised ammo box were added to the £300, but that has sold out.
The remaining non-retailer pledges have a delivery date estimate of December 2023, except the PDF, which is slated for October.
