Bloat Games’ Greasers & Ghouls tabletop RPG has PCs as high school teens taking on B-movie monsters in the 1950s era of rock n’ roll.
With about a week left to run, the crowdfunding campaign asked for $2,000 to fund and is on the way to double that. You can help it and perhaps pick up a backer reward at Kickstarter.
Greasers & Ghouls uses Bloat Games’ Survive This! RPG engine, an OSR-vibe, d20-based game used in their other horrors.
Survive This! means the system will have classes and levels, seven attributes, an armour class, advantages, disadvantages, hit points, saving throws and a skill system.
You’ll not need to know or have Survive This! before backing Greasers & Ghouls, though, as it comes with the core rules.
Greasers & Ghouls is a Tabletop Roleplaying Game set in a small town in the 1950s. Players take on the roles of normal high school-aged teens, who encounter B-movie monsters lurking in the shadows, all while trying to go to high school, the drive-in, and still make it to the sock hop dance.
Backers offering $19 to support the project will pick up a thank-you reward in the shape of a PDF download of the RPG.
Backers at $34 get the PDF and a print-on-demand discounted code from Lulu, but that still leaves the remainder to pay and shipping.
Alternatively, at $59 and for US backers only, there’s an offset print edition with the PDF in support.
At $99, there’s an exclusive “Produced By” credit on the book and early access. The $500 tier is for a personal dedication and social media shoutout.
Bloat Games estimate delivery of Greasers & Ghouls in March 2024.
