Good news! Netflix’s One Piece, the live-action adaptation of the beloved manga, is now the number one ranked TV series in 84 countries – and it’s well deserved.
The show has surpassed season 4 of Stranger Things and Wednesday, and it’s a record, baby!
If you haven’t seen One Piece yet, I highly recommend you do so you can at least join in on the conversation, but also just because it really is one of the best TV shows to be spending your time on at the moment.
And I’m saying that as someone who hadn’t read any of the manga first – only watched a trailer and thought ‘WTF is going on with those arms?!’.
Anyway, this news is very exciting because One Piece doing this well means there just has to be a second season for the Straw Hat Pirates now.
One Piece is based on the beloved manga and anime series from Eiichiro Oda, who has also been heavily involved in the series.
As the series creator, Oda also made the promise that nothing would be put out into the world until he himself was satisfied with it – I’ll bet he’s feeling pretty vindicated right about now.
You can also read the first 108 chapters of the One Piece manga for free! If you’re so inclined, that is.
