Heatwaves and Loch Ness this week as Geek Native ventures again into a TTRPG news round-up. Headlines from around the web all in a handy and bullet point scan format. Who said bullet points are just for the dread PowerPoint?
Let’s kick off the news with the summary of summaries;
- Pelgrane Press will release Trail of Cthulhu 2e.
- Black Lantern announce the political and dark humour Mansters.
- Geek Native tried to grill Tabletop Scotland.
- There are pre-orders and freebies for Assassin’s Creed TTRPG.
- Without using Kickstarter, Monte Cook Games’ The Magnus Archives TTRPG smashes a million.
- Waifu, monsters and, most of all – airships – make this a record-breaking Kickstarter week.
Geek Native tracks Kickstarter projects, and this week was shaping up to be robust with many high-ask campaigns launched (and funding). Then, Gamebreaker’s Gambit asked for about $1.5m for an airship supplement.
Not that the airships stopped the waifu doing well.
It’s been another busy week at Geek Native HQ, with yours truly up to Loch Ness and back again in a day in the baking heat. Did I see Nessie? No, but I did see an angry swan. A similar CR?
There have been a few exclusives this week with Mansters to Tabletop Scotland, so do linger.
Rightyo, let’s roll with the RPG news!
