Are you ready for Frocktober? Halloween or spooky-themed dresses for a month makes October one of the best times of the year for me, and you can bet your bats I already have way more than the required 31 spooky outfits. Does that stop me looking? Like hell it does.
Collectif is always a good shout for fun prints, and come Halloween you just know they’ll have something new to tempt you. So, let’s check out my top picks for Frocktober 2023!
Liza Spinners Web flared Dress
First on MY list this year is the Liza Spinners Web flared dress. I love the roses and spider webs combined with scissors – this look just has me written all over it.
I love the look and shape of the Liza dress, and this one is made in a lovely 97% cotton, 3% elastane fabric, so it has some stretch and should be a little more forgiving than the likes of the Tipsy Elephant.
You can get yours right here. You can also buy this lovely print in a skirt and top version!
Anya Pumpkin Check flared dress
Although a lot more subtle, this is still a perfect Frocktober dress if you want to dress like pumpkin spice and all things nice! This is a lovely warm dress you can wear from basically the start of autumn into the colder months.
You can pick up your Anya Pumpkin Check flared dress right here, and also check out the pinafore version that goes by the name Eloise.
TIP: I have this print/fabric in a Mimi dress, and trust me when they say to size up due to the very minimal stretch provided.
Roberta Skeleton Boo-gie dress
Back to IN-YOUR-FACE HALLOWEEN! Got to admit, the Roberta Skeleton Boo-gie dress is one that I’ve sat on the past year (not literally). Could this finally be the year I buy it? Mayhaps, but I’m still over my quota for Frocktober dresses so have to be extra picky!
Anyway, this is a very cute skeleton print in a flattering style. What’s not to love?
You can pick up your boo-gieing skeletons right here.
Enola cape coat
The thing about Frocktober is that it starts getting colder, and you’re going to need to keep warm whilst looking badass. That’s where the Enola cape coat comes in, and just look how classy:
Need I say more? It’s the perfect mix of a cape and a coat, and you can get yours right here.
June Halloweenia swing dress
I personally own this June Halloweenia swing dress and I can vouch for it as one of the most comfortable, easy things to wear. The fabric is very stretchy, and comes in a lovely brocade bat, skull, rat, moon and tree detailing.
Seriously, I will likely to levitating towards this dress throughout the winter months, not just Frocktober, as it’s that damn good.
You can pick up your June Halloweenia swing dress right here!
Rooey Bat Mesh velvet pencil dress
If you’re into pencil dresses, the Rooey Bat Mesh velvet pencil dress feels that little bit special, with the mesh bat detailing and velvet collar just completing the look.
I love that it looks like a bit of a cross between Morticia and Wednesday – y’know, for those Frocktober days when you just can’t decide!
You can pick up your Rooey right here – or, you can buy it in a shirt version that’s just the mesh detailing and velvet collar!
Valeria striped flared dress
It wouldn’t be Halloween without some BEETLEJUICE STRIPE!!! I’ve been seeing a lot more of the Beetlejuice-inspired outfits over the past couple of years, and why not?! This is a great little number, and isn’t necessarily just suitable for Halloween, either.
You can cast yer eyes on the Valeria striped flared dress right here. Handbook for the Recently Deceased not included!
Dolores Glitter Bat velvet doll dress
Finally, it feels only right to end this with the well-known and well-loved Dolores. It’s a style that Collectif are particularly known for, and I must admit I own more Dolores dresses than I can count off in my head… but not this one! Not yet.
Cosy, comfy black stretch velvet, sliver bats – what else can you possibly need?
Grab your Dolores Glitter Bat velvet dress right here – or pick up the Peta top in the same fabric!
What do you think of these cute Frocktober favourites? Will you be spooking the halls this Halloween season? Let me know in the comments!
