I previously speculated on whether Marvel would ever let us have PDF download material for their RPG. It had all been VTT integration or books.
Now you can get Marvel Multiverse RPG: Enter: Hydra for free from DriveThruRPG or Marvel.com.
This PDF is a free update of the introductory adventure originally published in the Playtest Rulebook. It is compatible with the final rules of the game and serves as a prequel to the upcoming massive adventure book, The Cataclysm of Kang, which will be released in November.
There’s a celebration in the DriveThruRPG comments with Dani saying, “Yes! PDF pdf”, and then Geoffrey adding, “But still no PDF of the fracking core book?”.
Enter Hydra isn’t the only new addition to the Marvel Multiverse RPG line; Matt Forbeck has also shared A Rules FAQ via Marvel.com, which answers common questions, and then there is the Rules Errata, which fixes mistakes that crept through the quality assurance.
The core rules are available as a book and as a Kindle download, which might be better than a VTT integration for some over at Amazon.
Amazon also puts the RPG, which scores 4/5 on review stars in the US version of the sites, as the fifth most popular Marvel book and the 13th best-selling Puzzle & Game Reference book.
Those are high scores, but D&D has the first position in best-selling Puzzle & Game Reference books for the 2014 Player’s Guide.
