Rebellion is the British publisher who owns 2000 AD, which is Judge Dredd’s home series, and now Tunnels & Trolls.
We’re waiting to see what they do with the former, but we know what’s coming up in their fiction range.
Nordic Visions: The Best of Nordic Speculative Fiction is due on the 10th.
Nordic speculative fiction is a unique and exciting genre that combines dark humour, pacts with nature, and a unique view of the world with dystopian science fiction, terrifying horror, social criticism, and themes of loneliness and humanity’s impact on the wilderness.
This anthology features 16 stories from the best contemporary speculative authors from the Nordic countries, many of which are appearing in English for the very first time. Margret Helgadottir is the editor.
To mark the arrival of Nordic Visions, Rebellion is running a sale on DriveThruFiction, with other anthologies dropped to below $1.
The sale includes;
- The Djinn Falls in Love and Other Stories, which has Neil Gaiman as an author.
- New Suns: Original Speculative Fiction by People of Color, which won the 2020 Locus, World Fantasy and Ignyte Awards. The follow-up, New Suns 2 is also on sale.
- Made to Order, which has stories from Peter H. Hamilton and Alistair Reynolds, et al..
- Sinopticon, which celebrates Chinese sci-fi.
