Lion Banner Games are back on Kickstarter with a 5e campaign funded in hours. On offer are digital assets, including Foundry VTT, print rules and packs of minis.
HellWatch is a dark fantasy for D&D’s 5e and set in a nameless land, an Accursed Kingdom, besieged by the demons from below. You can see the latest funding figure or join in from the pitch page.
In HellWatch RPG: Infernal Oath, long ago, a king sealed a pact with a succubus named Meridana in order to gain his status. His heart and mind were corrupted by the abhorrent being and sealed with an Infernal Oath. That was decades ago, and now, the bargain must be fulfilled.
The Kingdom has become an accursed land with decaying crops, and the once blue skies have turned a crimson red. Citizens live in constant fear as they are attacked by infernal monsters, allowing a neighbouring kingdom and the Inquisition Courts to take advantage of the situation.
From the depths of the earth, within the Infernus, the demons are attempting to find a way to the surface. The Eye of the Infernus is the supreme being of hell, and its ultimate goal is the corruption of humankind in all its forms.
Chasms and portals rise throughout the land, and infernal monsters
materialize. This will not be the only Kingdom to fall if they are not
stopped.
On offer;
- 340+ page Hardcover campaign book.
- 6 brand-new character classes to dive into.
- Stunning and immersive battlemaps.
- Heroic miniatures.

HellWatch pledge tiers
Backers at €25, which is about £22, get the PDF of HellWatch: Infernal Oath and access to Kickstarter’s add-ons.
At €48, there’s the HellWatch Foundry VTT module and the PDF. Alternatively, there is the hardcover book at €52 rather than the virtual tabletop assets.
There’s a jump to €92 to stay physical and add the battlemap book, that’s A3 size and 48 pages long.
After this, and at €166, this list of backer perks gets long, and the physical HellWatch book, the battlemap and the PDF remain while the Hero Mini Pack is added, as is the HellWatch exclusive slipcase, the Infernal GM screen, 40 Tarot-sized cards, and 40+ battlemaps for VTTs.
The Foundry VTT all-in adds what you’d expect, pegged at €199.
Lion Banner, who is based in Europe, can ship worldwide and estimates February 2024 to complete the project. The Foundry Pledge and Digital tier ships earlier, in December 2023.
