Looks like Apple TV+ brought the goods to NYCC 2023, with an official new poster and trailer for their live-action Godzilla series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters – we’ve also got some new stills to show you.
The second day of NYCC 2023 saw executive producers Chris Black, Matt Fraction & Tory Tunnell, executive producer & director Andy Goddard, casting director Ronna Kress, and VFX supervisor Sean Konrad take part in a discussion around the much anticipated new series.
The trailer looks pretty good, as you’ll see below, but let’s first take a lookit at that poster and our favourite ADORABLE terror, Godzilla himself!
I think it’s utterly fabulous, and was enough to get me excited even before watching the trailer below. And what a trailer it is! (Of course, as a fan of huge reptilian creatures, I may be slightly biased)
There’s enough here to give us a bit of a better understanding about the nature of secret organisation Monach, but the real clincher is definitely Kurt Russell‘s line where he mentions the world being on fire and needing some help before you-know-who appears.
