Here’s an interesting book!
Jason Kingsley, a Tunnels & Trolls fan and now the owner of the RPG, is many things. He’s a successful businessman running Rebellion, a leading indie games developer – board, book, TV, film and computer. He’s an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), a zoologist, and he often is a Medieval knight.
Really, Kingsley runs and stars in one of my favourite YouTube channels, “Modern History TV”, in which he is often a Medieval knight or dressed as one.
Despite watching the series, in part at least, I was surprised to discover that Jason Kingsley uses The Code of Chivalry as a guide to work and life.
The book is on Amazon, in hardback and Kindle, but you might not fancy feeding the empire. The book is now also available on DriveThruFiction.
It won’t surprise you, but Leading the Rebellion is available through Rebellion.
DriveThruFiction describes the book;
Combining his love of Medieval History and success in business, this unique book will give insight into a modern interpretation of the Knightly Code of Chivalry, the moral system which combined a warrior ethos, knightly piety, and courtly manners, all combining to establish a notion of honour and nobility, in a motivational and aspirational take on how to live life to the fullest.
Each chapter will focus on one main chivalric theme, and how it has influenced his philosophy, helped equip him with personal tools to succeed, and how it has maximised his work-life balance. The book will also provide insight into his love for the medieval period and how this complements his professional life.
While DriveThruFiction has the book in epub and mobi versions for $7.99, there are some geographical restrictions in place, and you might not be able to grab the download in your part of the world.
