The Kickstarter for Exalted Funeral and Max Moon Games’ Abyss of Hallucinations is a Mork Borg setting crafted on the nihilistic psychedelia of Aleister Crowley’s Book of Lies.
The crowdfunder has blasted through $66,666 in pledges, slaughtering the goal of $40,000 and is approaching $80,000 with more than three weeks left.
This surreal setting promises to deliver a map of the Abyss of around 16 locations and a character name generator.
Well, there’s a disclaimer that the contents might change, but this is the broad brush plan at the moment.
There are new classes: Seeker of the Left-Hand Path, Offspring of Pan, Mountaineer, Alchemist, Anarchist, and the Pure Fool. There are also new deities, and they come with rules for patronage.
There’s a Magickal Order Generator and new occult treasures, plus magick items.
Other maps include a fold-out map of the Skidoo Inn, a hex of the Temple of the Graal and hex rules.
There’s a quest generator, an Abyssal Dungeons generator and 12 new Creatures of the Abyss to put in them.

Backers support in the usual way, spreading news and offering cash. Those who pledge $35 or more will Abyss of Hallucinations Players’ Guide and Vol 3 zine, a digital soundtrack and digital stretch goals.
At $50, the 5-Panel GM screen in PDF and the Babalon sticker, also in PDF, are added, but rather oddly, this tier is all digital rather than physical.
The Liber Abyssus tier, $70, brings physical back with the goals.
Exalted Funeral and Max Moon Games extend the tiers from $140 to $180, $250 and $980. That’s not even the top level, as $1,130 exists with a cassette soundtrack, t-shirt, and deluxe abyss slipcase.
The estimated delivery is October 2024 for most tiers, but expect a longer wait on the secret magick levels. The campaign winds to a ritual close on the 2nd of December.
