Adam Hancock’s Demiverse Expanded has hit its campaign funding goal on Kickstarter. Like the first book, which Geek Native previewed, the expansion will now grow with funds.
This time, we’ve a demiplane called Nighthold designed by E. R. F. Jordan, to demo. In the meantime, the crowdfunder is still running.
You can buy Demiverse, which is a 5e setting, from DriveThruRPG. The Demiverse can also be played with Those Who Wander rules.
At the very least, there are four new planes in the expansion. The base four are;
- The Kan’ai by Jessica A. Calvin.
- Nighthold by E.R.F. Jordan.
- Forest of the Dead by Aleksandra Brokman.
- The Wine-Dark Sea by Ahston Duncan.
Stretch goals unlock dozens more, and here’s the official summary of Nighthold;
The castle of a vampiric empress is set adrift in the cosmic dark. There are pros and cons to this arrangement: no sunlight is a benefit, but nobody to eat is a definite drawback. The empress uses magic to lure
travelers to her domain, forcing them to crash there and offering “hospitality” in exchange for their company. Classic vampire gothica ensues.

Demiplane Expanded tiers
Backers pledging $20 or more will get access to the add-ons, a good way to get Those Who Wander, or the original Demiverse and also get the PDF of Demiverse Expanded as a thank you.
At $30, the rewards expand to include a print copy, which is a print-on-demand book, which is added to the rewards.
The PDF and print edition of the original Demiverse are added to the Expanded sourcebook at $45.
There are higher tiers, though; the next one is a $160 leap up. At that tier, you get to design a small demiplane and get it illustrated.
Backers who can splash $485 get two planes to their credit, Demiverse, Demiverse Expanded and Those Who Wander, but not all of them in print.
Then there’s a $870 and a $1,250 tier if you want to design a large demiplane.
Adam estimates delivery of the Demiverse tiers in May next year, and the campaign closes on the 30th of November.
