Is it really Christmas without your favourite Christmas movies? But which ones will you be watching this festive season?
A recent survey of 2000 British residents resulting in 37% saying they spend the evening watching Christmas movies, and they also went on to choose their favourites.
Coming in at first place, it’s Home Alone, with 21% of respondents making this their top pick! It does feel like the ultimate Christmas movie, although I would pay good money to see them remake the whole thing but with adult McCauley Culkin playing the same role as Kevin – that’s one Christmas wish that’s been doing the rounds the past couple of years!
Home Alone was actually the nation’s favourite film last year, too, according to a study by Showcase Cinemas.
In second place, and not too far behind, was Elf – another classic, this time with 19% of Brits choosing to watch it at Christmas. The Grinch came in third place, with 15% of Brits choosing this one.
I for one am not surprised that Die Hard has FINALLY made it into an officially recognised Christmas movies list, with 11% of respondents choosing this – yep, those are my people! In your face, YouGov study from 2021 where 47% of Brits said it didn’t count!
Anyway, since there wasn’t one, I made this infographic especially.

PSSSSST! Also, if you need a big-ass TV to enjoy all of these amazing Christmas films on, and to get properly into the Christmas spirit, you can find a great selection from Currys right here!
