Gallant Knight Games took just about 90 minutes to fund Tiny Cyberpunk on Kickstarter.
The TTRPG uses the TinyD6 system, and the opening note is, “Welcome to the dystopian near-future. Wait…are we already there? Should we be worried?” Yes, we should be worried, but not about that funding goal, and you can see the latest tally on the pitch page.
The game offers streetpunks, near-future mechanics, drone operators and, of course, the iconic cyberpunk hacker.
Backers can come to Tiny Cyberpunk without any TinyD6 experience or books, as it’s a standalone rulebook. It’s 80 pages in all, including enemies, NPCs and expanded rules for the genre.
Tiny Cyberpunk is a tabletop roleplaying game that immerses players in the neon-lit, gritty world of Neodinium, a city divided into blocks and districts, each with its unique flavour and challenges. The game features a complete city setting to explore, filled with corporations, gangs, rivals, and near-dystopian disasters.
Each chapter of the game introduces two or three one-page adventures and small “district settings,” highlighting the distinct characteristics of each location and providing a wealth of non-player characters to interact with. This modular approach allows players to tailor their campaign to their preferences, whether they want to delve into the corporate intrigue of the Central District, navigate the treacherous underworld of the Undercity, or unravel the mysteries of the enigmatic Tech District.
Tiny Cyberpunk uses the TinyD6 system; a simple, fast, and dynamic rule-set. Designed to play quickly and get out of the way so you can tell your story, the game uses up to three six-sided dice as part of action resolution.
If you roll a “5” or “6” on a die, your check succeeds. Most checks are made with two dice. However, if you are deemed to have “advantage” on a roll, you gain a third die to roll. If you have “disadvantage”, you roll only one die.
Characters are made quickly and easily. You will select an archetype, three traits, and write down some basic information and you are ready to play!
Backers who pledge $10 or more unlock a PDF copy of Tiny Cyberpunk, which will come via DriveThruRPG, as a reward.
$30 tier backers also get a hardcover of the TTRPG and the PDF plys access to add-ons for screens and other Tiny games.
The pledge levels do go higher, and at $50, backers are getting a storage bag, the Tiny Cyberpunk GM screen and a character sheet pad.
July 2024 is the slated delivery for the physical game, with April as the digital deadline and the Kickstarter finishing as early as the 5th of December, noting it as a relatively short campaign.
