David Savedge is a blacksmith who plies their craft on tabletop games and is an experienced hand at Kickstarter.
Brokk’s Bones is David’s latest project, and it has impressed the community with a combination of crafted pewter game pieces, coins and dice trays. You can see more on the project page.
It’s hard to imagine David having much time since he has a studio and blacksmith’s shop on his farm. The farm is his family business.
On the other hand, the Kickstarter projects help establish the workshop business.
On offer are Brokk’s Boon Tokens, handcrafted from pewter as coins, a leather dice tray, hammer pendants and add-ons.
David’s idea is to turn these crafted items, which could also be props, into a tabletop game. That tabletop game can be one you play for fun or an in-character game in your RPG.
This exciting game involves several variables that provide layers of game play to create a unique player experience. You will receive hand cast pewter hammers, each marked with one of two different outcomes. You will also receive a pewter token, twelve runic pewter coins, and a free set of seven polyhedral dice in a random color, all important for game play. Brokk’s Bones also has two functions as a game, making it a wonderful addition to any gaming table. You can play Brokk’s Bones independently, as a tavern game or traveler’s game and weave it into your adventurer’s tale, or you can play Brokk’s Bones as a way to determine advantage or disadvantage to a die roll in your favorite tabletop RPG! Backers who pledge $8 in one of the countries the campaign ships to will get a Brokk’s Boon Token. At this level, there’s also access to add-ons.
At the $18, David’s supporters get a set of 7 gaming dice and a leather dice tray as rewards.
Then, at $28, the reward becomes on the pewter hammer pendant and those add-ons.
The Brokk’s Bones game of a token, six hammers, 12 coins, dice, a cloth drawstring bag and PDF game rules is the reward for backers at $42.
A higher tier, $88, adds the leather dice tray and pendant into the rewards along with Brokk’s Bones.
The estimated delivery date for the project is January 2024, and the campaign closes on the 18th of December.
